    MPC #138 Elements of Spring 5/14 - 6/1

    MPC #138 Elements of Spring 5/14 - 6/1

With Spring well underway, let's see what you can capture before summer arrives.

    RULES:
    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 (or 6) photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.
    8. And have fun.

#1: It's been raining for the last two weeks here in Boulder and everything is greener than a Breckenridge pot shop. Here's a shot from this morning of the Flatirons towering over Chatauqua Park in south Boulder:

This spring in Colorado has meant non-stop rain... like three weeks straight. This is a passing thunderstorm over the town of Lyons.

Yep, it has been cold and rainy and snowy up here in the mountains for weeks. I've been waiting for a really nice spring day to go shoot, but I had to settle for mostly cloudy today and wait for the sun to pop out. I will admit, though, rapidly changing weather is an element of spring.

If it gets more spring-like, I might get some more and change my entries.

These guys have been living under the deck, there was actually a 4th crammed in there until yesterday that learned to fly and bounced. I suspect these guys won't be around much longer.

You guys aren't making this easy for choosing the top 6.
