Why are almost all aftermarket head units ugly AF?
Seriously, wtf is this…
My current radio's CD player has 2-3 trays that don't work anymore and I don't have an aux input or cassette player (2004 right in between technologies). I have been looking for hours and can't find an aftermarket head unit that doesn't look like it was designed by a 14 year old.

One truck I bought had LED lights in the face plate that would change color with the music. Pretty stupid and distracting.

Go to the car audio shop and look at the customers. Those decks will look sweet in a Civic.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

The Blaupunkt ones at Crutchfield aren't the worst ever. Sorry for comically large images.

I soldered an aux cord directly onto my 05 subaru radio, it went on some processor chip and was not easy but worked. Thats not for all makes but worth a search.

I got a Blaupunkt New Jersey for reasons of aesthetics, but the sound quality is not as good as my old Kenwood, you can't change the color of the illumination to match your dash, and you have to destroy the faceplate to get the thing out . . . it does look pretty Teutonic, though, and matches the look of the instruments well.

Blaupunkts are nice, but no satellite radio hookup.
