Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Bought a Porter Cable router a decade ago, I think something in the 890 series. Never plan on replacing it.
I've been lusting after a set of Japanese saws as put together by Bridge City Tool Works.
My Winston fly rods. I need some reels that I can be confident will last as long, though an Orvis CFO I own has potential.
But it's hard to imagine many things I truly think I'll wear for the rest of my life. On the other hand, every fall I do think about buying a wool vest by Filson or Pendleton, so maybe I just should.

That hand splitting thing is just some stupid fucking romantic notion of pioneer life in America
last weekend I operated a 2speed 6.5ton electric splitter on solar/nano hydro for 2 days and filled the wood shed for a BC ski op without missing a beat

End-Of-Life Purchases
Meadow Skipper can appreciate these. This pair is only 10 years old.
Still have the 25 year old Wesco's as back up boots. Yeah, red.
The suede clogs are my favorite. 25 years old. I shouldn't even describe how good it feels to put my bare feet in those - some of you guys have teenage daughters. The leather ones are about 15 years old and barely broken in.
My wife says I look like I'm wearing over cooked baked potatoes...Last edited by ~mikey b; 04-17-2015 at 12:08 AM.
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

Not quite a fancy, stylish or expensive as filson, but I've had two TNF daypacks that I've been beating on for >20 years already with no real signs of fatigue. I bought the newer one when I was ~14 and used it for most of high school & all of college. Then I used it to carry my laptop for 5-6 years, before my wife confiscated it to carry around kid clothing and stuff. After about the 3rd day of kindergarten this fall, my son started using it for his school backpack.
The older one is still in service today as my ski bag. Which, when packed with my ski stuff, weights a metric shit ton.
Sorry for being so classless in such a classy thread.

My waterbag makes that Filson look kinda cheap like they cut some corners during the design phase.Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!

That bag looks nice. I heard about them a couple years ago and now I remember why I got turned off, the dude's story is so fucking pompous. http://www.saddlebackleather.com/the-story
But you bought a bag, not a story. Looks nice.

Come on mang, dude brought toothbrushes to needy African kids. What else do you want from him?
But seriously, I picked up a utility wallet and heritage belt from Tanner Goods a while ago. I may end up replacing the wallet in a couple of decades but the belt will be included in my will. www.tannergoods.comBrandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!

Those aren't the exact Bean boots, I couldn't find an image. But the Sorels do look good. They used to be made in Canada, but Columbia bought them and now they're made in China. Bean boots are made in Maine. Advantage Bean.
