Teton Gravity Research is proud to announce the 6th Annual Grom Contest - our legendary video contest for under-18 rippers. For 8 weeks starting Marth 9th, 2015 TGR will pick the best ski and snowboard edits to win a Sony Action Cam. Those winners then become finalists for the top prize: the chance to film with TGR and take their career to the next level (wapow!).

Any Under-18 skiers or snowboarders can enter. We'll pick the best weekly winner (skier & snowboarder each) who will each win a Sony Action Cam for the 8 weeks from now until May 3rd at midnight when submissions close. Afterwards in early summer, a Grand Prize winner will be decided by a panel of judges to win the opportunity to film with TGR next season.

The roolz:

You may submit up to 1 edit a week.
Our top ski and snowboard edit each week will win a 2014 Sony Action Cam.
Only 1 edit can win the Grand Prize.
Facebook "Likes" will not influence judging but will help your video get seen.
You must be 17 years old or younger on May 3, 2015.
Participants that are 12 years old or younger must have a parent or legal guardian submit edits using their own account and verify consent.
All athletes must have permission from their parents or legal guardian to enter this contest.
Submissions are open internationally.
Submissions will close May 3, 2015.

Edit Rules:
Videos must be under 3 minutes.
You must have rights from the filmer to submit the footage. Music must be cleared for posting in the edit on the Internet. Footage can be from anywhere in the world and made up of park, urban, powder, big mountain etc.

Judging Criteria:
Teton Gravity Research athletes and production team members will review the videos and pick the first place and grand prize winners. Members of the TGR production team will choose the weekly winners.
Quality of action and level of riding are the main deciding factors. A tight edit with your best footage will probably score better with the judges. Do not make them wait through your B shots to see your A shots. Length of video is not a deciding factor. We need to see enough to see your skills. A tight 2 minute edit will usually be more impressive than a loose 3 minute edit.
All decisions by TGR are final. TGR reserves the right to make any changes to the format, rules, and submission requirements at anytime during the contest.

For example, this guy Andreya Zvonar, is an obvious contender (and has already entered):
