    FS: K2 Coombas (181)

PayPal'd & shipped via FedEx to the Continental US: $145

This price is for the original Coombas (no rocker) and is for the skis only.

I've skied these about a dozen days over the years. At my weight (165 Lbs.), they kick my butt in the bumps and tight trees here in Colroado. I practice "constructive amnesia" forget about the butthurt from the previous year, put them away for the season, and repeat the process every year. It's time for someone to break in these skis.

    Condition/Tuning:

    • There's lots of edge on them and they're tuned to 1 deg./ 1 deg. I just passed over the bottom with a Skivisions stone, restructured the base, and freshened up the 1 deg. bottom bevel. The photos were taken with no wax, to better show base condition, and were subsequently waxed.

    Mounts:

    1. Quiver Killer inserts for Dynafit Vertical/G3 Onyx (302mm BSL). These holes are marked by the green grease pencil. Also, at the front (also with an insert) is a point to attach a leash or powder cords (the Onyx's didn't have a convenient attachment point for this).
    2. Quiver killer for Marker Dukes (1st gen) for the short/medium version (also 302 BSL).

Thanks for looking (scroll down for photos),
    Thom

    Binding Insert Notes:
    • The holes indicated by the green grease pencil are for the Dynafit Vertical/G3 Onyx. The holes are "perfectly located"- have perfect heel pin alignment (probably the best of the 10 pin-tech binding mountings I've done).
    • The other holes are for 1st gen. Marker Dukes - the first such mount I'd ever done. The rears are slightly off, but still useable. If this concerns you at all (and considering the fact that later model Dukes, etc. have a different hole spacing), you can consider them to be high quality hole plugs

Bump. Updated photos taken after bindings (sold) were removed.

After dusting off the bases, I'm really tempted to keep these around (at the price I'm asking). My only problem with them is that I'll start off with them in the morning, ski wide open stuff and enjoy the heck out of them ... then ... I wander off into tight bumps or trees and they have their way with me

    Cheers,
    Thom
