Plex, anyone using it?

Buddy of mine who has been curating a live music collection for 30 years is serving it up to our crew via plex.

Just listened to a crispy Doors recording from 1968.

yup. been using it for a while. took me a little while to get it dialed, but now it's working pretty well.

Yep, running it on a virtual machine. I use my Roku to access it.

It's a way to access/share your personal media remotely and on various devices. You setup a Plex server at home, then add all your media to it. The server is free, but I think I paid $5 for the Plex app on Roku.

Prior to Plex my friend had a hard drive that would get shipped around the country between us so we could copy his collection. Now I have an app on my phone, these are exciting times.
