Any TRUSTWORTHY virus scrubbers for android phones?

I've apparently got some nasty viruses on my android phone presumably from apps downloaded from Google Play Store. These things are killing my phone and are infesting it with who knows what.

By "trustworthy" I mean something that isn't just going to input even more viruses and pop-up engines. And I will have NOTHING to do with ANYTHING made by Symantec. They are basically the NSA's stooge and have allowed all sorts of NSA backdoors. If you don't believe me, look it up yourself. Symantec basically had dedicated parking spots for NSA hacks in their corporate parking lots, that's how tight Symantec is with the NSA.

So specific to Android phones, are there any decent, trustworthy virus scrubbers that actually do their job well? I really need to rid my phone of these, but I don't want to root it or even do a factory reset right now. (Not sure if a factory reset would rid these viruses snyway!!)

Maybe he was having sex with it, and then remembered it had the herp, and sent it home unsatisfied.

Copy your data off, do a complete factory restore and start over reloading everything. If the phone is infected, then I would not trust just trying to scan and "scrub"

Also you state that the infection came from Google Play- are you sure you got a legitimate app that infected your phone, all apps on the Google Play store Google examines all apps uploaded to Play (they use a cloud service called Bouncer to verify new apps against known malware signatures and test them for malware-like behavior), but there have been some reports of new apps getting approved then adding malware into the app after the initial approval.

If you want to scan the phone- I would try Kaspersky Android, and a few others like Eset, also make sure:
Security settings "Unknown sources" ("Allow installation of apps from unknown sources") is unchecked
Avoid suspicious apps - a no brainer, but it should be noted that the easy installation/removal of Android programs makes it more likely for some users to try a broader variety of programs

Also scan with one of the Malware like Malwarebytes....

Something tells me AK Rover is one of those people who should stick with a dumb phone. Or an iPhone.
You have to really go out of your way to fuck up and Android phone. It's pretty locked down. You can change some settings so you can install things not from the Google Play store, but otherwise, it's a Linux kernel you don't have root access too unless you "root" it.
Maybe also try not to download "games" that are all in Russian.
Are you sure you don't just need a cache cleaner? A basic cache cleaner like the one with the green circle/arrow almost recycle icon (I think it's just called App Cache Cleaner) can spruce things up a bit.
You can also try resetting factory settings (but not data. I think you can do that). Like I said, there isn't much you can do to fuck it up, but maybe there's some setting somewhere that is slowing you down or messing stuff up.
    No longer stuck.
