FS: 2015 Black Diamond Carbon Megawatt, 178cm, white, NEW

    SOLD

Extremely light pre-preg carbon pow touring ski, brand-new. Still in the plastic with BD stickers (don't know how much plastic and stickers weigh), one ski is 1,554g and the other is 1,594g. Tip rocker (lots) and tail rocker (not much) looks ideal, but too many carbon fatties in my quiver.

145/120/127mm, 27m. Legit sidewall construction, not cap construction like 2013 version that was softer and much heavier. This 2015 version is even lighter than the similar 2014 model due to a new core and elimination of edge material around the tips and tails. And the 2015 model is almost completely WHITE, which is huge plus for a touring ski since you don't want to drag around a bunch of snow sticking to dark topsheets.

    BD Description
Built to ski the deepest powder far from the trailhead, the Black Diamond Carbon Megawatt provides freeride performance in a package light enough for 10,000-foot days in the backcountry. The long Rocker tip and floaty 120 mm waist give you an effortless feel for bottomless days from Utah to Japan; pre-preg carbon construction and an ultralight engineered wood core deliver the power you need to open it up on an Alaskan face. A Semi-Rockered tail and SkinLock tail tab keep skin hardware off the snow for improved touring performance. This Carbon Megawatt weighs 240 grams less per pair than even the previous generation of this ultralight powder ski.

Floaty 120 mm waist with Rocker tip and Semi-Rocker tail
Formula One 3D Light Sandwich with pre-preg carbon construction and an ultralight engineered wood core
Optimized construction makes it the lightest ski on the market for its size
5 mm beveled ABS sidewalls with Power Edges
    SkinLock tail tabs
Optimal use: 90% soft snow / 10% hard snow
    Retails for $899.

SOLD Price drop: $625 net to me, shipped to lower 48 states via FedEx Ground.

They're definitely sexy, they make my pure L138's feel heavy.

Long-range forecasts show a traditional winter storm pattern for March, the snow is finally coming! Be ready for it.

If these aren't sold by the time the storms hit, I'll likely be drilling & mounting 'em myself.

12-18" this weekend, I'll be looking at these with an itchy finger on the mounting drill.

Buy these, help me be financially responsible.

Are you actually allowed to have an account here if you're financially responsible?

Lighter than a Lotus 120, with a wider tip for more float & quickness in the trees.
