PBS of all people did a piece on the US Ski Team tonight. They asked Bode what he thought about the future of skiing. He said he wouldn't be investing in the ski industry any time soon, referring to global warming.

On a lighter note, NBC missed Dustin Cook's entire 2nd place run because they were running an expose. If I was Canada, I would be totally pissed.

The US Team got beat up today. Stacey Cook took a ride through two rows of b-net in training; she looked like she was in a hell of a lot of pain. Kjetil Jansrud left early after taking a panel during his run; things was tough out there.

It looked like after the gate grabbed him, he did a little hop to ride it switch! That would have been extra badass if he shaved some speed switch but with GS skis and the speed and course I am guessing that is near impossible. But it looks like he tried!

The stands were electric during the first half of his run. When he hit an advantage of over .6 seconds things were crazy. If only he got through the that turn he surely would have at least hit the podium. Lost of guys had trouble in that same turn. Still a great day to be there! Cook's run was inspiring. Interview today on NBC with him. Stated there were 2 cuts, the one you could see still while his speed suit was still on, and the second one that was the hamstring cut noticed after they cut his suit off him. Asked about retiring he stated was not sure yet, but was definitely something he may consider.

I'm Appreciating Bode's color commentary on NBC sports coverage of the downhill at Val d'isere. He's unpolished, but I enjoy hearing his perspective

Bomber Skis and his head lawsuit have really turned me off on anything that this guy has to offer.
