Last dude's backie was sick. Too bad he couldn't hold it together the rest of the run.

Ha! the first competition i watch live. Actually quite cool. It would make great mainstream TV. It adds to the fun that i actually skied "venue". Looks much nicer than two years ago.
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

So technical. He made a turn, that was technical. Air time is way technical. Skiing fast - fuck, yeah, super technical. We need more technical!

Rodney takes it. Wow. What a venue. What skiing.
To have so many features on a slope where rock exposure is so minimized.
Great show!

Rodney's recovery was insane. Bummed for all the guys who went down, shows just how difficult the terrain truly is.

Run by Heitz was crazy. Glad he didn't blow up. That would have been ugly.

Great stuff all around! They announcers were kind of hilarious I thought. Such great diversity of amazing skiing and such a cool venue to showcase it. So many great runs but fair judging as well. I like the idea of a place with lots of options for creative and aggressive skiing like that but without horrible consequences.

Just watched the Smoothy and Heitz runs (and Tabke and Rodney), and I strongly concur with the re-ordering. Heitz went bigger off the top cliff and was just stronger and way faster than Smoothy. Both Rodney's and Heitz's runs were just videogame-awesome. Individual runs are here at bottom: http://www.dailymotion.com/FreerideWorldTourTV

Amazing watch. The sport deserves this event every year. The only change being an extra long waiting period to ensure they can go off in the same type of conditions every year.
That recovery. Wow. The most common crash at every big mountain event is a high side in the first turn after an air trying to control speed. That was going to be one nasty high side. Unreal composure to smoothly go into the next two airs. A well deserved win.
A well deserved reordering of the finishers after the video review (which is something they should really do at every event for the finishers from 4-10. Those placings are the difference between another year on tour or career over, and those placings are almost always where questionable judging happens).
Amazing event.
Edit: Hazel...that lady just went for the win and tomahawked hard. Kudos for giving er!

I thought Eva Walkner was overscored. She was more in control than Francesca, but skied an easy line with only two features. Maybe still scores better, but definitely not 11 points better.
Some of the ladies took some gnarly rides. Light looked challenging by the time they ran.
Amazing event. Really enjoyed watching that.
