    2015 PGA Tour Thread

Oh yeah! This seems like a great story to kick off this year's golf thread!

    DJ: I don't have a coke problem.

This one is bizarre as shit too! Feel bad for Allenby. The reader comments are where the gold is as per usual, but man Hawaii certainly has some real shitbags it seems these days.

Robert Allenby drugged, beaten, robbed, and left for dead in a Hawaii hobo camp only to be poked at and robbed by those meth addicts

Oh, and Tiger lost a tooth!

Should be a great season, bring on The Masters!

It was Elin with a 7 iron

Edit....tiger's tooth. Not Allenby. Maybe both.

Heh, maybe this is the year the PGA loses it's stodgy image. Personally I find these stories a very promising start to the season.

Notice he never says he doesn't use coke--just that he doesn't have a problem. That kinda says it all. Then again I'm sure there are plenty of pro golfers doing blow.

I'm not exactly a huge golf fan, but I bought tickets to the opening round of the U.S. Open since it's here in Washington this year.

DJ and Paulina just had a kid.... Might need the coke again to stay awake and practice.

    r.
I can't drink coffee when I play or even have a coca cola with caffeine. DJ had a couple horrific rounds out of the blue right before he got suspended. Golf is not the game you can play amped up imo.

the eight-time PGA Tour winner told SI.com that he did not go into rehab but instead brought in a group of experts, including a life coach, to better handle the pressures surrounding him and to figure things out internally to tap into his potential.

When I heard that Allenby story, the first thing I thought was, "Does anyone know if Anthony Kim was in Hawaii last week?"

Heh. I had some buddies who were on a golf bachelor party and the one told me that he and the groom stopped into the john out on the course to rail up a foot-long and how it was the worst decision of the weekend. Couldn't concentrate, everything was way too fucking slow for him. It was hot.

Sounds awful. No wonder DJ imploded.

I was fully expecting to have the story end with Dog the Bounty Hunter and his clan trying to solve the caper.

    It ain't the caffeine.

If you're gona do blow while golfing, you need to drink enough booze to keep your levels in balance.

That is either sig-worthy or should go in some kind of TGR advice thread.

I met JD the first or second day of college. He had some shitty home grown we smoked. I didn't know he was there to play golf until he showed up at the course the next day.

It makes a convenient excuse but you are right. I learned golf (taught myself) at such a young age and played pure for so many years before getting diverted into tennis that I just can't and don't enjoy golf impaired; hangover notwithstanding. It's not for lack of trying but I can only eat small snacks and drink un-caffeinated drinks to stay comfortable during a round. It's a good thing for me that the game is more important because I'm certainly not pure. I'm lucky it's a healthy pursuit. I occasionally drink a beer but never before the 16th hole and only if it's hot. Golf has never been a social thing for me. I just love the game.

I play mostly competitive golf, but mostly for the social aspect. So many guys think they're going to play better if they try harder to concentrate. Golf is a sexy fridged bitch. But every once in a while she lets you have your way with her, then she kicks you in the nuts.

I only played public school golf team. None of my friends played and neither did my parents. I never had a lesson as a kid. When I was 9 y/o my mom would drop me off at the course. I wasn't allowed on until after 2pm. Nine holes took 90 minutes; seemed like a long time when you're nine... When I was old enough I towed my clubs behind my bike to the course. I don't regret not pursuing the game younger because it's something I have now. /golfblog

^see what I mean, if old Robby had of been doing a couple lines, he wouldn't have been all falling down drunk.

What? The witness is a homeless person (love the quotes by the way, 'bro'. Does every homeless person in Hawaii sound like the same clueless ex-surfer cum meth addict?), and another homeless person?

And they say Allenby was in a confrontation with more homeless persons?

Is Honolulu just a giant hobo camp these days?

What kind of neighborhood is this wine bar in?
