Tonight should be Estimated Prophet, Terrapin Station.
it's always different being there, i'm sure it was fun.
but if i had to rank that show, it would be last behind, Chi/n1, SC/n2, SC/n1
first set was a complete throwaway, with zero replay value.

i don't think the drummers can handle Estimated, they are struggling as it is.

Althea and China rider should be on the radar. I just hope Bruce or trey sing Peggy or black muddy, not bob or phil

    Touch of grey opener?

Granted I was at the SC shows and watching Chi from the couch but Drums was hot SC1. Gone downhill the following nights. Billy seems to be on top of his game. Hart, maybe not.

The show last night was interesting and while maybe not my favorite to watch from my couch, I bet it was a very different feeling from the show.

    My predictions:

Weir will sing terrapin. Phil will want to do Unbroken Chain. Sunday S&D. Might see an Estimated but I wouldn't bet on it being a highlight. Bruce will get NSB. I could even see another dark star. China rider will have to show up. I could see Trey taking a Next Time You See Me. Maybe a first set close of throwing stones...Weir won't let that slide away. Second set closer...NFA with Phil belting out Black Muddy river for the encore.

My plan is to watch at the Pink Garter. I have an extra ticket if you'd like it. Could meet there.

Sugar Mags will be the opener. It's a Bill Graham thing I think there has to be a Terrapin and I'll be surprised if the end of the second set doesn't have a Throwing Stones, Not Fade something or other and maybe Touch of Grey encore.

edit - Thinking about it some more, The Other One out of space should be expected.

Groovy set break music. Franklins of the World. A band commissioned to create 5 hours of music just for the set breaks on this run.

Ya. Throwing stones and unbroken chain were pretty tight too.

I like the sentiments from Phil and Bob that while it's over it's not entirely over. Goodbye for now...

Mountains of the Moon>Throwing Stones was the big takeaway out of all five shows.
the full band improv on Mountains and the slow build, ass kicker version of TS.
that was the high water mark.
i wish they were a band, try it out for a couple of years, see where it goes, alas no.

That's what I said the other day, this band has potential. I have a feeling we'll get to see different forms, missing one or two members maybe but, I think they will let it grow because it's too good not to.

From a very reliable source , winter tour with Mayer and Oteil replacing red and Phil. Unsure of Bruce but Jeff goes with Bob I'm sure. I heard they made Oteil audition. Just make sure he can jam I guess lol.
