The shot of the bird at 2:35ish is pretty damn cool.
Anyone have any guesses on how much this is sped up? I'd be curious to see it in "real" speed.

Candide is insane.. I'd love to see a "follow cam" video similar to Pep's but then again, who's going to keep up with this guy through the stuff he skis?!
Also, I thought the reason he went to the bc was because he wasn't supposed to hit flat/hard landings after breaking his back. Guess the back is 110% now!

^^^ there's one called random shots where he and his buddy Aziz do some follow cam action.

Someone needs to write the next James Bond movie around Candide's skiing.
If anyone ever does it better, I'm dying to see the footie that tops that.

Would love to see Candide vs. Pep Fujas showdown staged somewhere like Verbier Extreme....
Plain awesome.
The floggings will continue until morale improves.

and here I am, still trying to figure out how they filmed that opening scene in the cabin. When he puts the goggles on while looking in the mirror, there does not appear to be any camera on him anywhere and then he puts them on his face. Either that's some serious post-production magic or Candide is a robot.

That was fun to watch. I hate POV clips, that one kept me interested. I kept thinking he is going to kill someone one of these days if he skis like that all the time.

The mirror was probably a framed green rectangle. They keyed the green and cropped a video shot of him putting on his goggles in the 'mirror'. Nothing close to 'serious magic' but certainly well done and creative. Or that's my guess on how it's done. His hand movements don't match the ones in the mirror, btw, although it's very close.

This clip reaffirms how not very good I am. Love the tunnel exit and the air off the chairlift ramp. Love the self edits popping up of "everyday" skiing- tough to top this one though

Best skier on the planet status confirmed. I mean, god damn. Also, they couldn't have sped it up *that* much without the jerky effect. A ton of frames will help you with slow mo, but there's no way to speed something up without simply chopping frames out. Although a very talented editor can help to minimize it.
