    VOTING Thread, MPC #131: ALPENGLOW-concludes 1/9/15 6:00pm ET

    MPC #131: ALPENGLOW
    Subject is Alpenglow.
    Morning or evening doesn't matter.
If you don't have access to the mountains , then capturing the low sun glow lighting up something interesting works too.

    Fuzz:

    BaNosser:

    Geomorph:

    Tripsandfalls:

    Bad dancer:

    Zartagan:

Great shot by Fuzz, but I voted for BaNosser as his shot is the only one that captures true alpenglow, IMO. Nice looking shot too.

Technically I think Fuzz's shot is so solid. Got my vote. Hard to vote against BaNosser though. Lots of good shots here

Though I love BaNosser's shot, I really like Zartagan's composition for evoking that glowing feeling at days end...

Lift is empty and stopped. Sky is quietly beautiful, with enough light, but going dark soon. You're paused mid run, still have some good turns left, but beers are waiting.

(And NEK, thanks for the critique of my asspen glow... )

I also voted for BaNosser, but take exception to smmokan's comments about the only "true" alpenglow. There is in fact a tiny bit of alpine vegetation in the upper right of my picture.

BaNosser got my vote for the classic alpenglow shot. Mine has a little bit of alpenglow on the "sharp" peak on the left, but it's too small to be the main subject. And unfortunately, I got cloudy sunsets in Sydney, so plans for getting some alpenglow there failed.

Can we give this to BaNosser and move on to the next MPC? It's a great shot and don't think any of the rest of us are catching him. Plus I'm going on a trip tomorrow, so would like to have something to shoot!

    Thanks for the kind words.

BaNosser definitely got this one, though.

Nice work, BaNosser... I voted for ya, because that's the alpenglow I really miss living out in the American midwest.

Thanks to the individual who voted for mine.
