Orizaba
Headed down to Mexico and toted my skis up Orizaba:
I then went to the beach and got some hookers and blow:

Nice man. Been wanting to do that trip for a couple years now. What beach did you hit up? Veracruz? Heard that area has been no bueno the last few years.
Was it worth schlepping your skis down to MX and hauling them up Orizaba for that decent?

I am definitely glad I brought my skis. Skiing from 18,000ft...feelsgoodman. The mountain and terrain aren't all that exciting so it depends. Flew into MXC and it was easy to get to Tlalchichuca. Didn't have to tote my skis around that much. Left them at the place I stayed in town when I went to the beach.
Did go to Veracruz, it is not bad at all. There were many police and federales, but only because there was some latin america summit where all the presidents had a convention. We biked all over town and it's completely safe. It was very resorty and not my style, though:
No waves in the Gulf:
I then traveled across the country and went to the Pacific in the state of Oaxaca. A small village called Zipolite, where I rented a cabana right on the beach for about 7USD. It is a nudist beach too. If you talk to the local medicine man, you will discover that Columbia is relative close, Two thirds of what I said are true. Didn't actually get a hooker but "una puta se cuesta tres ciento pesos por una hora," or about 21 USD. Easily the most beautiful non-mountainous place I have ever been. The waves are much bigger, and you can go surfing, naked, if you so desire.

Damn! Those Mexicans sure don't know how to make the powder, but that beach setup looks pretty mint. Well done!
