SUP steep creeking
Not sure what to think of this other than a compound fracture waiting to happen but more power to the guy.

That's one of the dumber things I've seen lately. Admirable determination, but he's way lucky he was only limping at the end of that day.

Travis Rice already slayed that line.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I wonder why he didn't try running something with a little deeper water first? At best the SUP is scraping across the granite - not much opportunity to steer the thing in any way or control his line. I would think running say a class III like So Fork of the American or the Lower Kern might be a good place to start.

pretty rad for burton to be trying steeps on a sup that looks like a shortboard compared to the old school stand up IKs. South Silver is the perfect place to try it since it is simultaneously steep and benign.

Yeah, I think Dan G could clean a lot of that. Plus the guy should be on an inflatable. That board looks to be epoxy.
