So, you guys into water sports? Haha, just kidding.
I'm going camping at Radium, CO in June, and was wanting to tube the upper CO river a little bit.
What kind of tube should I get?More gauze pads, please hurry!

I live in the beautiful city of Aurora, CO. Really, this time of year Aurora is fantastic.
I've been camping near the Radium hot springs all of my life. It was shown to me by my brother (god rest his soul) a long time ago. We used to camp there when you could actually drive down to the cliffs. Radium holds a special place in my heart. Siiiiggghhhhh . . .
Anyway, before I get all nostalgic and teary eyed . . .
I have reserved the group camp site to celebrate my 30th birthday. We wanted an easily accessible spot that is conducive to large groups and will be warm (lower elevation) that time of year. Thus Radium. Plus, the group spot is within a short walk to the hot springs. And nothing like sharing a small hot spring with strange, naked, degenerate hippies on your b-day, right?!?!?
Now I have rafted the upper Colorado from pumphouse to State Bridge, and it was mostly just flat water. We used to cliff-jump into the river alot, and while the water was moving along, it was never too much to swim out of. But to reassure my hair-brained idea (I'm a raft Gaper fer sure), I asked my very experienced and accomplished rafting buddy his opinion, and he gave me the green light.
Maybe he just wants some amusement?More gauze pads, please hurry!

So you are thinking of tubing from Pumphouse to State Bridge? That is going to be a loooooong day! There are sections along that river where the water is going so slow a stiff wind can stop or blow you in the other direction.
