Sounds like "opening day" at Wrigley was a real blast.

Can we restart the whole "Opening Day as a National Holiday" debate? I have way too much work to do to properly enjoy this......

Anyone who's ever done an Opening Day in Cincinnati can attest that it truly is a holiday there and Opening Day is done better than anywhere else.

Finley Market Parade (96th year) through downtown, no one goes to work or school, and as a nod to the oldest team in baseball - they always open at home.

I'm a tribe fan, but opening day is done better no where else than in Cincinnati.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to try and make that some year.

    Haven't looked that far ahead but I hope it's a Kluber-Felix matchup!

It really is. It's like a city-wide block party all centered around baseball. I've done opening day in Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Yankee Stadium, Camden, Chicago, Dirty Chicago, and Minneapolis and none of those cities even came close to Cincy's festivities.

I've seen Aroldis Chapman pitch live and I gotta say, Kimbrel was waaay more exciting/dominating.

Nice addition for SD for sure.

The guy is like a fine Bordeaux, he gets better with age.

Until he doesn't. Good for the old Tribe hurler.

Pedey starting the season off with a Laser Show. I think the Sox could be really fun to watch this year. Lots of 10-8 shootouts with their lack of pitching.

Aaand he beat Scherzer. On the back of a 2 error, 3 unearned run inning for SS Ian Desmond. The same SS who refuses to sign anything less than a $100M contract. Smh all around.

Well, that Reds-Pirates game was entertaining as I waited for my Tribe game to start!

I think a lot of people have underestimated this team with great performances from Cueto, Billy Hamilton, Joey Votto, and Todd Frasier.

Pedroia hit two homers today! Doesn't that mean he is on pace for a 324 homer season?

Buchholz looked pretty good too. Seven scoreless with just three hits and nine strikeouts. Good start.

The only thing that is longer than a Sox/Yankees game is a 19 inning Sox/Yankees game.

It was the longest in Boston history and second longest in Yankee history.

Four RBIs for the win yesterday, dude. We'll see. Wasn't pretty watching him try to catch easy throws at first, though.

Well, we're down to $108,879,285.50/win... Any bets on whether that number gets below $2.6m...?

I've seen some poorly constructed and vastly overpaid Yankee teams in my life time... I'm pretty sure this one will set the bar to a new low.

So the Cubbies gave $155 million dollars to a pitcher who can't throw to first base?

Well this really blows. Tribe stud Carlos Carrasco takes a liner to the face in his first inning of work today. Fuck, hope he isn't hurt too bad and can heal up quick. He just signed a HUGE deal 2 weeks ago and is a major part of this all-star staff. 10 Ks in each of his first two starts...
