Holee shit - not only did the deputy empty his gun at his own car, his Sergeant did as well.
And every shot (thankfully) missed the guy sitting handcuffed in the car.

My first thought was military-induced PTSD.
It’s sad - we as a society broke him by sending him off to a stupid war.

Guy I knew in college had served three tours in ‘Nam before going to university on GI bill. He got suspended in second term when he woke up to a rat in his bedroom and emptied his Colt 1911 killing it. The other people in the apartment building, the police and school’s administration thought that was excessive. He got counseling and came back next term with the agreement he would possess no firearms going forward.
