Currently, surfing tgr during my quantum chemistry class.... I'd say there's 50/50 odds I drop out and move to Alaska at this point.

That was a great video. I will be doing the same starting January 1. My job sucks, GF just left, need to escape; waiting for the bonus then I am out.

Good work, it looks like fun was had. You sir, are now winning at life.

My job didn't start for six months after graduating, so I was able to take advantage, but still for too short of a time. Those days have quickly become the past though; it's funny how quickly a job, woman, house, and kid can creep in and run the show. Not complaining, especially because my job is worth the effort, my kid is a riot, and I live in a place where fun stuff is easily accessible, but the freedom to drop everything if you feel like it, is fleeting. For many, the hiatus happily never ends. That was certainly my parents' concern.

It's funny when people back home (mostly east) look at you weird for doing something so "foolish" and "irresponsible". And then I remember to be glad they never leave.

PS, here's a tip - grad school is only worth it if you love it.

Yup, all my peers told me it was a bad idea, I'd fall behind, and I wouldn't be able to get into grad school.

Everyone already working told me it was a great idea, to go for it, and worry about life later. I'm so glad I listened.

Thanks. I am now sitting at my desk, thinking back to the decisions I made, or did not make, many decades ago and questioning them...

Nice vid, best of luck at Grad School.

Thanks, and it's never too late to inject a little adventure into your life. Retire early!
