Photographers at Presidential News Conferences
Or at any big speech/announcement, etc.
This isn't a political question but rather a question about how many photos the press photographers take a events like this.
I just happened to catch a couple minutes of the President's post mid-term election speech and the constant rattle of cameras in the background is crazy. The guys is just standing there talking. How many pictures do you actually need? Are the photogs hoping to catch that perfect moment (whether that moment is a "grand" gesture or a strange facial contortion that is produced by actually moving mouth parts to speak)? It must take forever to go through what I'm guessing are 1000's of pictures.
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

too bad there's no mags that do this professionally...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.
