Stevens was great today, still snowing hard when we left at 3:00. Only 2 lifts running (7th and Skyline) but no lines and lots of pow on Cowboy Mtn.

@Brian. How was the stability on the Birthday tour? Heading up there tomorrow for a few days

I want to know who was rocking the bright yellow 112RP's with Kingpins and Vulcans yesterday at Stevens. I asked for change but he just keep walking...probably Greg from AlpineZone... :-)

I must have missed something. I found mostly fluff on crunch, fluff on breakable, and layered bits of breakable. And the odd creek and snirt to avoid off the mainline lower down. Good enough fun. But if you found more than a few turns at a time of legit lift served powder today, my hat is off to you.

Stability was great for us, other than some pinwheeling on the final steep pitch right above the traverse out to the hairpin. Evidence of other small wet slides, again on the final exit pitch, but nothing of real consequence. We left at the right time though, any later and it might have gotten a little sketchier.
Other than maybe 4-16" of new snow from the weekend the snow pack below seemed to be consolidated throughout the tour. Can't speak to what what it looks like after an overnight freeze and potentially more snow overnight/today...

Stevens got skied pretty hard today. I'd skin somewhere open and north facing if you can. Upper Rock Garden was the only spot on the mountain that wasn't totally hammered by the sun and ski compaction. Most elsewhere on the mountain is pretty chunky and crusty.

I'd wager Crystal would be the better choice for tomorrow. 8"+ since closing bell on Sunday, cooler temps and more than dirt underneath it. That said, Cowboy Ridge did not disappoint today. Lots of face shots to be found if you knew where to look.Tourons were enjoying the upper reaches of the backside and the hidden bowls only reachable by those in the know. Stability was good. Visibility? Not so much - but it was worse at pass level than up top. Stay outta Rock Garden if you're concerned about feeding the sharks. Afternoon snow showers brought free refills and seemed to replenish what has been consumed by the masses in the morning rush.

Stability is amazing. Seemed like the sun slopes weren't as deep as the north faces so that's a bonus. The big problem for you will be that it's gonna be really warm which it hasn't been for a couple weeks. Gonna be lots of rock fall and melt-alanches. The north faces could get sketchy if the air temp gets too warm

Birthday delivered. Icy skin in the morning. Cream later in the day. Great coverage. Parking will be an issue by the weekend as the high lot hasn't been plowed so get there early if you come.

    ^^ Beauty.

Slay the good weather weekend, homies. I was hoping to be able to join the party at Mt Dweebus for the closer.

Hittin the highway to BZN instead... to attend a funeral for a buddy killed in an avalanche. For the curious: http://www.mtavalanche.com/accident/15/04/15

On the other hand I am really happy to see you guys finally getting some. Cheers and happy shredding.
