Hey you guys be nice, that's where I take the family. It is actually a pretty cool little hill with a great vibe, have yet to get hit on by gay guy in Carhartt's. Family can go hang at the water park while daddy gets his shred on. I was skeptical when the wife wanted passes there due to Schwizz being so fucking expensive for a family of 4. Mondays are fucking empty with fresh tracks all day. Planning on invading the wet side for a couple days this winter. Not sure where yet but hoping to kick around with some maggots.

Pretty standard for Buster to be traveling that time of year.
Don't worry there will still be a lot of us other k00ks that will be around.

The rest of the time I'm out to lunch. In Arc'teryx.

I don't think anyone really pays attention, except those that don't imbibe. Funny that. Not that I'm crewed, just another lewd spewed d00d.

Muir skied great today, despite 100mph winds yesterday. The shinies corned up in the sun, while the driftline chalk was max carvable. Upper mountain plastered in feet of ice. Shoes on till 7200ft.

    That is an awesome photo!

I'm jealous about the skiing too, no turns for me until December unless I can squeeze it into a work trip

Forecast's looking favorable for the south Cascades this weekend. Hood could pick up a foot or two by the end of the week. Now we just need that moisture to slide a little further north without driving out the cold air...

Hey guys, planning a trip up to the PNW around New Years to visit my girlfriend's Mom and do some skiing. She lives in Kent so we will be based out of there and planning to ski Jan 1-5. Would like to hit Stevens, Crystal, and Alpental. Am interested in which mountain would be the best to avoid for the two weekend days, and also besides Crystal, which should we spend an extra day at (may decide this during the trip based on our opinions and conditions after skiing all 3). Looking for any suggestions people can offer. Also would love to have a tour guide for these mountains. Sidecountry/touring would be of interest as well. Thanks.

All of them are bad on the weekends, particularly if there's new snow.
Extra day at any would be worthy, but I think that touring out of Stevens is rad, Alpy for lift served weekday.

Ping me when here, I'm usually mostly solo.

Avoid stevens like the plague on weekends. Many weekends, if you're not there by 10 you won't get a parking spot and they'll turn you away. It's also a bitch of a drive from kent to stevens

Beta on white pass? Is it worth the drive from mission ridge. Going to do a loop through there.

White Pass is alright. Definitely worth checking out if you're already heading through that-a-way. Is it worth the drive from the Wenatchee area? Nah. But if you're doing a resort road trip in the Cascades, I'd add it to the list if it makes sense to cross the mountains there.

Small, but good spot, take the sidecountry gear. There's one steep run with some decent woods skiing in bounds, but 1 mile out there's a spankwad of fun.

Pretty much the best consistent terrain they have inbounds.

Well I'll try this thread, why not....before I call every ski shop around Seattle, I have multiple pairs I want to get a base grind only on, not a tune, not a wax, nothing but base grind. Who might do that for a reasonable price? Preference for eastside.
