Well, I can now understand C&R in my local lake. It's like cleaning the beach or building rest rooms at trail heads. Using a bit of GDP to provide entertainment to the populace. 2 million people live within a 20 minute drive and 1/2 of them are non natives like me. My neighbor said I should have been here 10 years ago when they would decide on trout for dinner and go catch a couple wild. It's a weird little lake that grew over a town and is surrounded by 1000's of acres of "Off Limits" wilderness. So PNW thick that a local had a hidden end of the world bunker near the lake for 8 years before the SWAT had to move in.

My 2nd fishing license runs out in 30 days. I should wet a line.

A little stoke. Mountain reservoir. 12 mile dirt road in. 100 miles of sandy beach shoreline in the summer. Only 40 campsites. 12 on their own islands. Free. Smallmouth, tasty perch and no tan lines.

You should have been there 20 years ago. Now the boat launch has a web cam.
