Ms. Leventhal (aka Mrs. Rontele) gets the credit for the photo.

Had a nice tour from the apartment up through the Common to the State House, up Joy, down Mt. Vernon x2 and then back through the Public Garden home. Fun to see everyone out and about.

Got about 2' near me so did a little local tour to a secret bowl I've been looking at for a while, 1.5 mile slog in but totally worth it for this (max 50' vert) first descent. It actually was pretty fun on the snow thrasher, crazy sluff.

Crazy wind, the other side of the ridge even had a 3.5' cornice that I knocked down climbing it, hadn't seen that in southern MA before. This was the top of that ridgeline.

Girlfriend lives about 20 min from Wawa and has over 30" at her place with it still coming down, wonder if they will groom tonight/early tomorrow? If not a dawn patrol may be in order, man the bottom sucks on a snowboard in deep snow though.

    Not to pricey

Sounds like a good time to go out and shovel my path to the woodshed.

    Boston Strong on the hill!

5 1/2" in the yard and around 6" mid mountain. A late squall added a quick 3" of dandelion fluff on top of the denser earlier snow. 3` mid with 30+ mph wind was cold, especially when the lift stopped 1[one] chair short of the ramp for almost 10 minutes on my first lift ride. Tower fault on a compression sheave assy. ,must have been nippy for the lift mechs, who spent an hour on the tower fixing it while the lift spun.
Wind filled things in and as butta said tons of fun. Trails were cold smoke arc from side to side smooth sailing, so much fun. Lee woods = $$$ , windward woods = fluffy drift smash > scour above 1800'.
Northwest aspects will get hit hard over the next several days, but that snow will go somewhere ie the Rock will load well 4 tomorrow.

    Get after it!!

Mad River wasn't necessarily epic, but it was pretty frick'n good.

Amazingly, it was complete country club skiing all day... for just $3.50. The locals all stayed away fearing crowds from Mass and CT, but with the roads shut down there, no one could get here. Lots of empty single chairs.

Hooked up with Stayalert and family, so it great to have our daughters skiing together and allowed us to explore. Saw the Weasel and on his advice, we went out the LT ridge line twice and found some great snow. Was a memorable adventure... thx J. Very fun group.

Definitely a great day to be outside skiing, and finished with a full tilt run down chute that had some amazing filled in bumps. Time to open another Heady....!

And that Mt. Vernon shot is great, but I'm pretty sure Travis Rice rode it a couple months ago.

Ragged was damn good today. I'd say over a foot fell during the day and it was free refills all day, like 15 people there. Even most of the woods were in towards the afternoon.

Work is getting in the way of fun tomorrow but planning to get some leftovers on Thursday. Likely going solo at this point but would be up for meeting on the hill if anyone is in the same position or doesn’t mind a tag along. Maybe Sunapee or Ragged.

Nice! Sunapee got a foot today too. Still snowing a bit and blowing around. Should be pretty good in the morning.

Yeah, it's been my goto place for southern storm skiing for a few years now, fun place.

That said, it's actually a terrible choice and no-one else should ever go there on a storm day.
