TR: Patagonia cruising
Some more pictures from SA to help with my current bout of back home blues.
We did some roadtripping around Patagonia, which I always enjoy.

For our last ski days we headed to Tronador and enjoyed a highly unusual day without wind or clouds. Arriving at the hut:

The last pitch to the summit of Pico Argentino is the only steep-ish terrain on the normal ski route. Mostly it is a flat cruise

As usual it was hard to leave despite some bad luck with weather and conditions and I am very jealous of the people still skiing down there. Eased the transition back home with a few days of field work - no skis but a little bit of snow to help with the optics.

But no, we're definitely in the Alps again.

But we still like to think back to those winter in summer sunsets on the promised land….

Beautiful as usual. Ka pune kup.
But I couldn't help myself:
All the slopes are brown and the sky is gray.
I've been for a skin on a winter's day.
I'd be deep in pow if I was on the Marte';
Patagonia cruising on such a winter's day.
Stopped in to a hut I passed along the way.
Well I got down on my skis and I pretend to pray.
You know the hut keeper liked the cold;
He knows I'm gonna stay.

If I didn't tell her I could leave today;
