    Revelstoke 2003 avalanche

Pretty cheesy article about the slide. http://news.nationalpost.com/how-a-m...e-guides-life/
I'll probably check out the book--we lost a friend in that avalanche.

Let us know how the book was! We can't expect all reporters to be up to John Branch standards. Hopefully the book is introspective and can talk to both ski tourers and casual observers alike.

You can read the first few chapters of the book on Google Books: http://books.google.ca/books?id=35-LBAAAQBAJ

I interviewed Ken Wylie last year for my own article about the impact of this avalanche (and the Connaught Creek slide 11 days later) and it's clear he's spent most of the last 10 years of his life thinking about the avalanche. Amazingly, he was skiing in Rogers Pass when the Connaught slide happened, and he went to help with that rescue too.
