    2014 EC ULLRFEST THREADZZZ

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... Start your engines and blow out your snot rockets! It's time to show Ullr how much you deserve a persistently deep winter snowpack by showing up and throwing down for this year's installment of moose hobble whackin', beer drinkin', skotskiin'/ice lugein' and pig roastin' good times. Those who came out last year to the new home of Ullrfest - MIGHTY MAGIC MOUNTAIN were pleased to find full accomodations by way of base lodge usage. We're talkin' running bathrooms, camping sites all around the base area, the bar even had the football game on and were serving drinks too.

A great time was had by all including residents and staff of the hill, so we've been welcomed with open arms to do it again- and with some improvements! I'll still of course be bringing the ice luge and I know a lot of guys are getting jacked up to make their special food and booze treats but we've got some cool ideas to bring back some of the flair as well- If Big Daddy's in to do it we can have the big screen again this year for ski movies, and I'm positive GetAmped will be bringing his sound gear once again.

We have absolutely slayed it in years past in terms of coming together to have a good time and ring in the new season, and this will be no exception. I have no doubt that we will set the stoke bar higher than ever and continue to uphold a strong tradition of kicking ass, taking names and showing people everywhere how it's done.

Big- no, wait- HUGE thanks to Magic management and of course all of you contributing mags who have made it so much fun in years past. Really looking forward to making this a big fat success, and of course show Ullr the level of intensity he's got to match whilst conjuring up snowfall totals for the EC

Also for those interested, we are also going to have a work day planned for Saturday earlier on. Hiking, cutting and cleaning followed by pig, ice luges, beer, fire and high fives. Honestly, what could be better? (aside from a pow day, that is )

So yeah. Share your stoke pics from years past, talk about gear deals you've scored in too-drunk Ullrfest fireside exchanges or share ideas for this year. In any case, it's happening and you are invited!

Don't think I'll be able to make it this year with my test schedule.

But I plan to live vicariously through this thread for the next month.

Looking forward to it for sure! May I suggest adding the date (10/18) to the thread title? :P

I can probably scrape up a spare projector from work if BD's isn't available, and I believe between MNIAW & GetAmped food serving tables and pop up canopies & music are covered. I'll grab a Costco box of plastic utensils as well as paper plates and towels . With bathrooms and all that available in the base lodge, we just need to coordinate food & beverages and everyone needs to bring tents and sleeping gear.

It sounds like Peruvian can do the pig again this year, which is awesome. I'm happy to run point on that if needed. We probably need a better idea of the headcount to ensure we get the right size pig, no?

We should probably start a list to establish a headcount and to figure out who is bringing what to ensure that all bases are covered and efforts aren't duplicated.

(cut the entire list, make your changes and then repost the whole list)

    DoWork (+1?) - Iceblock & stoke
    MNIAW - Tables?
GetAmped - Pop up Canopies? and sound system
BigDaddy - Projector? (we can probably hang a sheet from the railing on the upper deck and watch below...)
jgb - Booze, Beer, plastic utensils, paper plates & paper towels.
MPPG - kick ass mulled cider

1% chance I make it. I'm going to become a dad sometime in the next few weeks. Technically, this should be an odd year for me, and I'm scheduled to drink myself into an absurd stupor. Perhaps someone could take my place?

Guys–lemme know if we can help on our end with copies of Almost Ablaze & Higher to show on the projector! Had a great time writing about Big Daddy's Ullrfests of years past at his crib and would love to chip in in a tiny way to make this one a success...

Neufox, I'll keep in touch once we have a better sense of numbers to know the size of the pig.

I hit a deer last Friday and dropped the car at the body shop today, hopefully it'll be good to go in 2 weeks. I'll bring booze and some kind of sweet gooey dessert thang that'll go down well with scotch, rye and beer at 2AM. I could bring a few hand tools if needed for the workday. Would love to drag MTBB up with me, but he has to be back home by Sunday nite if anyone can ride him back to the philly area. I'm heading up to Smuggs for a few days before I head back. Holy shit, Ullr time already!

I thought I was going to be able to make it this year, especially after meeting so many of you last year. But, the wife is SUPER-pregnant, and I need to remain within "a triangle" (her words) of being able to drive or meet her at a hospital. Unless somebody is able to offer heli service (Timber?), I will be grounded in CT.

YES PLEASE! Any video stoke you guys can kick down to us would be greatly appreciated. We try to keep the ski porn rolling nonstop once it's dark enough to watch.

Damn we don't even need generators. This is going to be awesome!

Peruvian, let me know if you need someone to front the money for the swine. I can handle that if necessary.
