I might be interested in the cassette, seatpost, bars, and stem... more details on the "little bits"?

The seatpost and bars are some norco branded stuff.

I think the seatpost is one of these, except black with a norco logo. Kalloy

Bars are one inch rise, 740mm (29")

The stem is a raceface chester 50mm.

I guess that's it by 'little bits' actually. The headset, seatpost clamp and bottom bracket are the only things I'm using. Maybe tubes and grips are left?

    They're just listed as 'dual'

They don't feel all that soft. I imagine they're doing something similar to what maxxis does with the same designation, hard center with slightly softer rubber on the sideknobs, or slightly softer rubber all over with a harder compound underneath.

I spent a few days pounding on it in mammoth this past weekend on some dh trails, plus a little pedaling.

It offers zero surpises (which is high praise considering a lot of what's out there). That's after 3 weeks of doing the same thing on a new nomad that I had time to really mess with to see if I could get it to work.

    I made the right choice.

Frame, fork, and some other bits sold.

Still have the wheels, shifters and derailleurs, cranks, brakes and rear shock.

It's 12.7 with a 2.35 maxxis rear, 2.5 maxxis front, perfectly fine. The nomad I borrowed and did the same thing with was 12.5 (but rode like 11.5 with that weird suspension).

I was saying all last year when it looked like the entire industry was going full retard: 27.5 wheels are absurd for a straight up switch with no more 26 options. 27.5 frames however.........are AWESOME!

Yeah needless to say, it fucking rails and feels so goddamn stable monstertrucking though the nastiest shit. I rode cold creek and toads last weekend (south shore reference for ya ) and just banging into shit just doesn't even matter.

You've been riding for a while, you wouldn't have any problems climbing up rocky things. I don't. It's so low as long as you pay attention to your pedals just like you do on every other bike with a 13+, it's actually a better climber that never gets tippy.

I think my BB on my current ride sits at 13" not that big of a difference, I'm intrigued cause I've been thinking about running 26" wheelset on a 27.5 frame for a little while now. Sorry to cunt up your for sell thread with questions about your bike, but at least it's a free bump!

How do you think throwing a bit bigger fork on it would be like 170/180, raise the BB and slacken it up a little bit, or does that seem kinda pointless the way it handles now?

Yeah, you gonna buy something or what?

I think it would be fine on this frame. 170 is negligible over 160......180......meh, still not that big of a difference. I'd do it for the travel if you wanted it, not the bb height. That's not even worth worrying about.

With my shitty angle finder, I'm getting around 66.5 for a headangle. Since this is my only trail bike I'm cool with that. It feels fine with a 160mm pike on it but I don't think a 180 something would be out of place either.
