    Spey in Wyo/ID?

I'm wondering if anyone in Western Wyo/ Eastern Id double-hands for trout? I just got my switch setup and I'm looking for some pointers. I've done it a few times for steelhead in WA/OR but it was long time ago and I never got it under my belt. I can bring the beer.

I sling streamers with the switch here around IF on the lower snake, HF and SF in the late fall. If you're around here and things line up happy to help out and help you dial it in.

What Rod you throwing? The 400 Max is 20' so you should be lined nicely for that rod. We'll make it work when we can lync up.

Sage One 11 1/2 #6. It feels awesome for that 1/100 time I put out a decent cast. I've learned to keep my anchor point further away from me after I sent a few streamers buzzing past my head at a million miles an hour.

Clearly it's the shitty equipment you're using.

Buzzing isn't so bad. I buried a size 2 in my arm last weekend. That's fun. Mash those barbs.

sell the one and get two slower rods.

seriously fast rods suck for spey casting, and really just about every normal stream fishing situation.

And yes, pinch your barbs, or quit fishing.

Falso. That rod is the berries and can huck bombs all day long. Yes, longer, slower rods maybe better to learn on, but that rod is super versatile.
