    Has anyone tried the Dynafit Radical CR boot yet?

    I am interested to hear how the Radical CR skis compared to the Vulcan. Has anyone skied them yet? Also, any idea on what the last is?
    I like huge dumps.

    I've heard it's basically a Zzero with a much better walk mode. So... a lot softer and more like an overlap.

    If that's the case I don't really see the point in Dynafit making it their heaviest boot and it not being at least as stiff as the Mercury.

    Mercury = $800
    Radical = $550

    It's just an econo model, like its predecessor, the "U" material version of the pbax Zzero4:

    Perhaps the least interesting new boot (AT category) of the season unless the alleged blown out last interests you vs. other models that aren't much different.

    Tough competition though for that honor with the Neo -- especially with eight different variations available in Europe!
    (Nine including the demo version.)

    Is the Neo a renamed One? It sure looks like it.

    Hence the tough competition for least exciting "new" AT boot of the year.

    Its got more buckles so its must be better

    On a hut trip there was a pair of titans and a pair of Vulcans in the right size, I spent a week trying to convince a bud that the Vulcan was the most bad ass full on touring boot on the market and he should at least try them on but all he could do was go on about "dude its only got only 3 buckles!"

    So instead he used a boot with a mere four buckles?

    Pathetic!

    Vulcan and Radical are a different boot. Radical more roomy and too sloppy for my foot, but the TLT5's and Vulcan fit me well.

    Did that thousand buckle boot work? If so - what for?

    Works great for impressing everyone with my manliness on the ski down, while still being super light for the skin up.

    Pity, no booster strap, otherwise the perfect BC boot. Are the boot soles swappable for DIN compatibility?

    Real men don't worry about DIN compatability.

    Well I got these delivered yesterday. Weight is 4.4 LBS per boot. Sizing-27.5 in this boot (306 BSL). I am a 28 in the TLT5/6 and a 27 in the Vulcan. Fit is spot on. These offer quite a bit more volume on the anterior midfoot to not pinch down on the 2nd buckle (my main problem in the Vulcans). They also seem to have a removable tongue to upgrade if you need stiffness, but haven't seen anything from dynafit on this feature. Hopefully they offer better warmth considering different shell material.

    Lulz @ the Atomic 1018 pic above.

    I tried on the Radical and the forefoot volume was massive (especially since I have pretty wide feet), it also felt really really soft to me, but then again I weigh 205lbs nekkid. Vulcan and Mercury to not fit my feet, not even close (too low volume/narrow). Ended up with Maestrale RS, pretty decent after baking, may need some work on inside of forefoot we will see.

    4.4 lb per boot?? That's very heavy by modern standards!
