Kimbo-only pass for me this year. Sled ownership means I had to give up adding KH and Fernie to save some bucks for gas.

But hoping to crash Eldereldo's place in Whis a whole bunch. My early WB Edge card purchase gets me free skiing opening day to Dec. 15th.

Weird to see snow happening in Calgary while it's still beautiful in B.C. Went lake swimming the other day. My days of posting the first TR in the Cnd Rockies are long gone.

Radical Reels in K on Tuesday night. Always a good way to get the adrenaline going before the ski season.

The Jibby kids where up at the Quay last night sliding around. Then said "it was poor coverage" Duh. its early Sept, and we got 10-20cm (so that is a 1-2cm compressed base) of COURSE its poor coverage.

That said, I'm going for a drive to highwood pass to check it out today

and highwood pass has JUST as much snow as banff, (as in, not enough to ski on the the rocks and grass)

pass at the Lake and possibly the Horse, oh and norquay. as with last year. Anyone in or coming through canmore willing to give me a ride to the Lake would be greatly appreciated. Still not back on the driving train. I'll gladly help with gas coffee and can make a wicked authentic new Mexican breakfast burrito. more then willing to show off a stash or two at the Lake in return for rides. promise I'm not too big of a hack. strongenough to start some light touring soon as well! plus huge karma points.

^^ Keep er goin' man, it's really inspiring to watch you keep going for (and getting) more.

My plans for winter include working and skiing. At the hill for my days on at work, and hopefully a bunch of sick lines from the sled after a bit of leg work over days off. Pray for a strong snowpack and pow well into May

thanks bud. comments like that really feel good and do make a difference. I hope we can make some laps this winter at the horse. I'm sure you've got some rowdy lines you could show me and this old dog may still have a few tricks up his sleeve.

Backcountry YYC has been a good place for beta on current snow conditions. A few yahoo's so take everything with a grain of salt but there are few guys in that group that get out almost daily and that's a pretty good resource.

That organization was a victim of its own chronic lack of credibility and stubborn refusal to accept the new backcountry internet paradigm.

Oh, and it's actually the Highwood Pass Advisory Society.

Ya don't need to ski on rocks or grass. Climb something and you'll find some winter.
