For Sale: 189 Hellbents and 179 ObSethed - Skis
Hi All,
1) $170 CAD - 189 Hellbent (I'm keeping the bindings). Bought in late 2009, skied less than 25 days. I got my 4frnt EHP's the same year, and the Hellbents never really got out much after that.
Mounted 1.5 times (Look PX then Pivot, they use the same toe holes) for 295bsl at +7.
These things are minty. Zero base damage. The topsheet has a bit of the typical K2 chipping for that era, but anytime I saw a new chip, I put grey JB weld on it to keep the ski sealed up. There are not many spots of chipping (see closer tip pic).
I can provide more detailed pics of anything if you want. They really are minty. Super floaty, poppy, playful. Lots of snap. These are a fun time powder ski that have a soft tip and tail for floaty, spinjibbery goodness, and are relatively stiff right underfoot for good stompy landings. They actually carve groomers pretty darn well too.
PICS (CLICK TO ZOOM):
Payment Via Paypal. Buyer pays Paypal fee. I'm a validated Paypal user.
The skis will be bubble wrapped and shipped in ski boxes with Tracking Number through Canada Post. Will ship to anywhere in north America.
Price Police welcomed.
If you want both pair it will save on shipping, we can work out a price deal, and you'll have an instant quiver for under $300 CAD!Last edited by iscariot; 09-02-2014 at 10:13 AM.

2) SOLD. $120 CAD - 179 ObSethed (I'm keeping the bindings). Bought from a mag unmounted a year or two after they were released. Skied less than 40 days. Intended these to be a rock ski, but my 4frnt EHP's just float so well in such little pow, and the ObSethed's never really got out much after that. Mostly groomer days with the girlfriend. These have a 2 degree sidewall and a 2 degree base bevel. This is the single base grind that they've had, so lots of base material left. The bases were minty new before that. I did it to make the skis a little more loose. Now they slarve well, and still lay trenches at speed.
Mounted 1 time (Salomon 916) for 295bsl at +3.
These have a small curly underfoot on one ski (see pics). Only in the surface of the base material. No core shots. The topsheet has the typical K2 chipping for that era.
I can provide more detailed pics of anything if you want. Lots of pop, and lay trenches, with great rebound into the next turn. The tune makes them easy to slarve and pivot in the pow.

179 ObSethed
I would like to take those ObSetheds off of your hands for you. I assume CAD is Canadian Dollars? Also, I've never bought anything from a forum so not sure how the transaction process goes. I do have paypal.
Cheers!

Do you have the dimensions or year of the ObSetheds?

Can't remember the year (Turns out they are from 2008). I bought them from a mag through tgr brand new, but a year or two after they were first released (So I got them brand new in 2009 or 2010).
They are 130/98/118 with a 22m turn radius.
I bought them as jib/rock/carver/skiing with the g/f skis, but we've have great snow years, so I've been on my EHP's instead. So these have seem minimal use.Last edited by iscariot; 11-13-2014 at 11:00 AM. Reason: For dims and year.
