Ski Monarch ?
We're opening a VRBO up on the pass. 8 miles to the resort 8 miles to town. Cool little cabin in the woods. Backs up to the south fork of the Arkansas river. You can mtn bike the Crest trail right out the door.

My girlfriend cashed in some retirement to buy it. Don't think you'll need one we're talking $50-60/bedroom/night this season. There's 3 bedrooms. That's cheaper than anything around.
Had a black bear amble through the yard yesterday.

I doubt that they're renting single rooms. and VRBO seems pretty popular in CO.

After driving thru the area multiple times, going to other locations, I would sure love to ski Monarch.

Monarch is a mellow fun mountain and they can get a decent amount of snowfall when others are hurting. Crowds are usually pretty minimal(compared to other places in the state). The terrain is short and not very steep, but it is fun and interesting. Not just groomed out ribbons. Trees can be a blast too.

Ski Monarch is a beautiful place to spend your vacations with your loved ones.This time I am planning to spend my winter vacations there. Last year I went to Avoriaz mountains for skiing , its also beautiful if you like mountain slopes for skiing. Check location de ski avoriaz to more about skiing there.
