A buddy of mine had a friend he knew named Shithied. Pronounced Shi-thied, or also jokingly as Shit Head. The person went by a nickname or middle name.

Quag Meyer. I was taking a phone order and had to have him spell it out. I almost asked how his parents really felt about him.

Hey guys, we have heard the shithead and ladasha ones several times before. They aren't so novel that you can get away bullshitting us.

I have a theory that names like that are a byproduct of a particularly long and painful delivery.

This thread has jogged my memory. Over 10 years ago there was a gentleman on a team that we supported some servers for by the name of Ashit. I was able to avoid ever saying his name out loud although I had to go to great lengths. When I finally heard it pronounced, I was dismayed that it was pronounced as I had feared. I had been hoping for his sake something like "Awsh-eet" or even "Aw-sheet" and was not prepared for "A-shit". You just try and not giggle. This is an unfortunate side effect of our global economy. I was also terrified to say the name Vijaya out loud. I am not mature enough to keep it together. She is an exceptionally good admin.

Interesting real names I've seen lately

Lol my name is actually Vail. I dont like it, but most I meet seem too. Vail is an old gaelic word meaning "of the valley".. Origin like 1000 years ago. Vail resorts are making this name look bad.

My brother's ex-girlfriend graduated college last year and we were looking through the list of names of the graduating class. It seems Wang is quite a common Asian surname. The best one was "Heming Wang."

You sure, man? Not pooping on your name, but the only origins of "Vail" I can find on the web are these: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vail
