Tim hortons is dope. $1.80 for a large coffee or hot chocolate? sign me up. Vanilla dip donuts are bless. Every true canadian remebers the days of strawberry cream cheese.

Not Canadian, but been to plenty. The donuts are great, the coffee is over-hyped.

Canadians....Do You Like Tim Horton's?
Can't stomach their coffee without something to soak it up - too damn sour/acid. But for being fast food, I do like their soup and sammies. It was better back in the days when all the baked goods were made fresh on site rather, rather than being shipped in however.
Rumour has it that the company (Tims) will remain based in Canada, despite the BK HQ staying south of the 49th, so not a pretext for some subtle invasion...

Hate tim's and all the stupid sheep who are in line way out onto the road every morning. Sammies are ok but the coffee sucks.

Tim's has dope coffee, stop being contrarians.
And BK is going to move it's hq to Canada (if the deal goes through), corporate tax rate here is 15% vs 35% in the U.S."4ply is so quiche"

...and the effective tax rate is....
You do understand that there are practically zero corporations that pay 35%, which is at the top end of the 15-35% rate (yes, it can vary) they can be charged. There are many tales (even recent) of ginormous corporations paying a negative tax rate - they get paid by the taxpayer to do business here. Don't believe the hype.

What I see at many Timmys outlets is customers lined out the door, localy the drive thru is always out the lot and into the street just before work/ at coffee time so while I don't like the coffee ... LOTS of people do
I've been in the back of Burger King Wendys and Timmys for POS which is why i don't eat at BK or Wendy's and if I needed a super fast drivethru lunch on the road I would got to Timmy ho's
I don't think BK has ever done very well up here in CanadaLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

story here
Burger King rose 20 per cent to $32.40 in New York after disclosing that it’s in talks to buy Tim Hortons Inc. and move its headquarters to Canada, which has a lower tax rate. This would create the world’s third largest fast-food chain with about $22-billion in sales and more than 18,000 restaurants in 100 countries, according to a statement today from the two companies.

Tim Hortons always has a booth at the annual BIO Conference. That's about the only time I indulge, and that's just for the donuts. I also once stopped at a TH somewhere in Quebec and the bitch there couldn't speak English! WTF?! Could've visited Los Angeles, Mexico if I wanted to buy a cup of fucking coffee from a non-anglophone.
Daniel Ortega eats here.

Coffee is meh. Donuts are grease sponges. I don't go there unless the I'm a passenger as the driver decides they must.
You are what you eat.

Some people are obsessed and claim you are unpatriotic if you don't eat that shit. Cant stand that a fast food restaurant is tied to our national identity. Coffee is good for long road trips as it keeps you awake with its high caffeine content and gut wrenching ability. Hard to nod off driving when you are trying not to shit your pants. Sandwhich buns are strange, taste like the donuts. Our hiways are littered with their garbage too. I live in a tourist town where we just got one a few years ago and the increase of roadside garbage is incredible. Give me A&W any day if I need a drive through gut bomb...mmmmmmm... Mozza burger and onion rings!

Just another Canadian company happy to help an American company do their patriotic duty to avoid taxation. The shitty coffee will complement the shitty burgers.

I feel the same way about Dunkin Donut's coffee. It's good for a sip, but then it tastes like it was brewed in cane syrup. Then burnt to a crisp. While wearing a Red Sox hat.
I still call it The Jake.

I'm the furthest thing from a coffee snob but I can't stomach that shit at tim hortons, I'll hit up 'dons if I want a quick coffee.
I only go there for a donut when I need a quick sugar fix, which is often. You should see the envious stares I get when I bust out a boston cream halfway up the skintrack.
