Sounds badass. Just wish they were shaped more like the sony action cam for mounting on your goggle strap. Cam wouldn't last long on the top of my helmet in the trees.

Funny you mention that because my buddy's most common reply to someone asking if he got something on camera is "battery's dead"

I'd still buy this over the toaster. http://driftinnovation.com I don't care about all the bells and whistles on the new toaster, especially since my old drift has plenty of quality for my needs.

Exactly my biggest reason for not having a gp. They are just too damn clunky.

    Impressive specs so far.

x..5? on battery life. I have a hero2 and it was draining extremely quick last winter, barely have any videos as a result. Could be because it's older, the cold, but probably a combination.

All I can say is wow. I know GoPro doctors all the videos they put out with extremely pricey software but the quality on that video is still amazing.

With a little help from After Effects (for image stabilization). Unless that was completely shot on drones, stedicams, sliders, jibs, gimbals, etc. That shit is insanely smooth compared to normal GoPro footage. With a little color grading, some IS, and a little post love, no reason most gopro footage can't look like that.

I was just at a seminar last week with Adam Epstein, the editor for the film dept on SNL. The shit they do in Premiere on a single day turnaround is nothing short of amazing. That software (CC) is completely changing the way our industry works. I used to crap on it, because they neglected it, but they have put a TON of money and resources making it the best in the industry. Why anyone would pay for Avid anymore completely boggles my mind. And I'm totally cool with saying how wrong I was about Adobe.

They actually could be my reason for my next work rig being a windows box.

At least you weren't as much of a dick as this guy any time I'd just mention what I was using.

I've been pretty impressed with how well a properly lit shot from the hero2s with protune and the hero3s hold up to color correction. I can't imagine this one is worse. (maybe the 4k falls apart although I doubt it based on that promo) Especially with that complete godsend of pure editing genius that is the greatest gift to editing known as Adobe creative suite.

x 3 as the stock price is now $76 - down from a high of $98 earlier in the month although all the tech co's have been getting hammered lately. I'm still happy with that buy at $24 though

We have one of the new 4's. The time lapse option has been fun to play with but battery life was not great the first few uses. my bf andrew has had it with him on a trip for the past week so I'll be interested to see how well it worked when he returns this evening

Also saw Nick Woodman on Charlie Rose a couple wks ago- good interview if anyone else here is interested
