Show us your best crash footy thread.

    I'll start:

So, it was the end of the day, I was sore and tired but wanted to do one last run before work. There was about 9in of new snow but it was very low density so you were riding on the old snow. I looked at the line from a distance and didn't see any rocks so I decided to give it a try.

As I approached the line, my slough uncovered some rocks I didn't know about and I had to do a weird body twist to avoid them. As I lost my balance the tips of my skis nailed a rock and I double ejected and began to tomahawk over some rocks (the photo in the video is from much more covered season). I (luckily) didn't get hurt and ended up finding both my skis stuck in some trees (I never found my pole, although you can see it in the end of video if you look carefully).

Anyway, I suck at skiing but I ended up going back later and doing the line justice.

Now let me some of you guys eat it.

you asked for a crash thread - http://www.powdork.com/2011/crash-test-dummies/

but there's a lot of not crashing in the thread. all of the crashing is in the video

powdork.com - new and improved, with 20% more dork.

Just looked like you hip checked left and beatered after that rock in the middle of the line finally came into view.

Anyways we all blow up stupidly and spectacularly now and again.

Here is a really cheesy, (dumb) edit that I put together earlier of this year of some pretty good crash footy in Corbet's. My lame attempt at some humor.

Back in the Sony Handicam days people kind of assumed you were hot shit if you were filming at all. I was and still am hot shit (in my mind, and my mind only). I proceeded to immediately JONG myself on the least gnarly drop around in front of a bunch of tourists.

Agreed. What a douche. Who would think that was cool/fun? And what kind of jackass would think it was a good idea to leave that in the clip?

RadBots? Well, I'll never watch any of their crap again.

Didn't get the crash on video...but managed to film the sled ride that ensued.

Not much to see. Other than the MLB ski patrol being badass getting me out of a really shitty situation. Shattered tibial plateau.

I'm surprised they didn't use an anchor and rope to lower you. What run is this? I'm guessing in somewhere in headwaters?

There is a third patroller on belay up near where I crashed.

Headwaters yes, near the exit of Jill Chute.

Just my shoulder. Super rotten, punchy snow in the choke... buried a ski and couldn't make the turn by the time I got it free.

No serious injuries, but it didn't feel good.

Worst bail (sled) of the year for me last season. End of a wicked day of skiing so it balanced out.

Wtf happened to the video imbedding from last season?
