SF Casting Help
I'm going to swallow my pride and admit that I need a huge amount of casting help. Unfortunately my schedule is such that I've been missing the free days at the casting pools.
Anyone willing to help a jong out with some casting lessons? Six packs will abound.Man, skiing is the easy part.

If you can hook up with George Revel at Lost Coast Outfitters it'd be a huge benefit. He's head honcho over at the ponds. If you can sneak into the shop see if you can schedule some time with him, or even get up to the rooftop to cast. Solid dude. http://www.lostcoastoutfitters.com/

Is your cast just too short or is it failing altogether, even at short range? Take a video of yourself flailing away and post it up. If the cast is dumping, the faulty mechanics are usually either (1) rod tip too low on the backcast, (2) not giving enough time to allow the backcast to fully extend or (3) both. If the cast unfurls properly but you want to increase range, then you need to learn to double haul line to increase your line speed.

I'm not really an experienced enough caster to offer to correct your mistakes, but I'd be happy to walk over to the ponds to video you so you can post up.

Why has nobody requested pics/vid of gf/wife?
A woman reported to police at 6:30 p.m. that she was being "smart-mouthed."

You probably just need a bigger net shoved into your belt.

well, that depends. from personal experience I found the cocobolo net just didn't provide the catching help I needed, swing weight was all wrong. Karelian birch was a bit too light on the back and reflected just right into the eyes of trophy brown's and would drive them away. Cuban mahogany had a better swing weight but dented too easily - the best, is, like for Clapton's guitar's - Brasilian rosewood. With nets knotted from the finest piel de puta.
on a semi-serious note - there's only so much you can do on flat water if your goal is to cast in rivers.
