watch breezeblock. most fucvked up video of all time. (can anyone tell me what's up with the ending?)and a great song to boot....
also, they have a great catalog of videos. It's nice to still see some effort and originality in music videos.
I'm obviously a fan.Last edited by My Pet Powder Goat; 07-19-2014 at 01:54 PM.

It's disturbing and a pretty awesome piece of film but lacks context. "I don't get it" is a fair statement, neither do I. It's clearly part of something though, so maybe they didn't care that it doesn't really stand alone.
The song is pretty meh compared to breezeblock and some of the other stuff from the first album.
edit: just googled it, it's something about the hunger games and that's Miley Cyrus' voice sampled singing "I'm a female rebel" throughout. Not sure this is really working for me but I still want to hear the rest of the album.

It's a little unbelievable for the guy to continue running with at least four mortal wounds, that first arrow would have killed him in less than a minute. If that were real it would have passed through his spine, lung/heart and maybe aorta.
Again I don't get it, what does it have to do with the song? I thought it might have something to do with the Hunger Games but wasn't sure.

He is immortal. He represents the human spirit against all odds. Had no weapons so couldn't fight back. Reaches the gas, douses himself, and waits for the flaming arrows to reach him. Then, after it fades to black, he gets set on fire and can attack, by burning down everything. That's why he smiles.

Obviously the whole video is in reverse. Guy kidnaps girl. Maybe its his wife, or it could be his mistress, or just a random (re: the wedding ring). He returns home, checks on her. She escapes and attacks. He wins out and drowns her in the tub. No really that complex. Perhaps a metaphor for men oppressing women.

Well he does look good doing it. I've rarely seen anyone get impaled so stylishly.

Wrong! That's what it looks like if you don't pay attention.
Watch again; you'll see there are two women. the man comes home and saves the girl locked in the closet. which I believe was his wife. creeping behind him is the other female with knife in hand, ready to attack. They fight and he kills her. I think it was probably his mistress in a jealous rage, as she didn't have a ring.
