TR: Where the Bears wear Hats

I know everyone's fishing and selling lemonade, but it was still snowing a month ago and theres plenty left. Skiied 3000+ the day before my birthday (july 10th) and we narrowly avoided becoming the appetizer for glacier's grizzliest. Just a few shots of the Logan Pass terrain park and our line off Bearhat Mtn..

plenty of grass on logan pass

    hidden pass to the northeast

    jackson and Blackfoot glaciers

Awesome! Skied some of those lines last weekend when I was up. Lots more dirt/grass patches in just a couple days.

Looks like it was worth the hike out to Bearhat Pass:

Ape- yea, somewhat of an above average year, but they dont call it glacier for nothin.

as for the bear encounter, we first saw him on the other side of the creek, so i busted out the bear spray, sprayed my friend with it, closed my eyes, then applied it to myself. after a lot of coughing and itching, the bear was closer, but seemed confused and slightly less hungry. he got about 30 feet away and then turned and crossed to the other side of the creek and went hunting for a meal that had less seasoning.

Thanks. When I park my Hummer at trailheads I always bear spray the wheels so no bears will pee on them.

Your video was almost as good as your bear spray techniques. Almost.

    Good stuff.

Nice TR and video. How did you manage not to get hit by a car long boarding down going to the sun?

Did you ski the line lookers left or was there snow in the center gully?

I'm assuming the face, lookers left of the gully.

Conditions from 7/4 when I was up there:

we skiied the line on the left. several snow bridges that were nearly as frightening going down as they were booting up.
