Kinda looks like a perspective thing. Plus p18 heels always look a little more forward. I could probably take a similar pic of my Rens.

Then again maybe he does mount forward because if the flip up in the tail.

Curious to see what the narrower ones look like.

Yes, agreed. Skied a few runs on the Devastator and loved they way the skied - in soft snow. The cat track back was and exercise in futility.

My source at 4FRNT says he does mount them hella far forward, and the design is far from finalized.

I hope this ski isn't simply a re-wrapped CRJ. That ski was fun but needed more chops to bust crud IMO. The 188 CRJ was 118 in the waist and 130 in the tip with a high 20's radius. The kye looked to be 130 in the tip and 120 underfoot with a high 20 something radius. Seems similar.

It might be similar but it is not identical: the CRJ has pointier tips and tails and longer tapered sections. On the picture above the sidecut of the KYE seems to run up to where the red part of the topsheet begins, whereas on the CRJ the sidecut was basically just below the bindings...

I was merely noting the mount location. It's not a dig on the kid. Simmer down now.

I hope that is the case, that would definitely add some stability to the ride of the CRJ while still offering the loose feel of the renegade, hoji, CRJ ehp that put 4frnt on the map.

I mounted Kye's skis with Beasts, a surprising amount camber to them. Similar widths to the Renegade, at first glance I actually thought they were next year's Ren's.
Topsheet is of the Tantalus Range and is sexy as hell.

Then it should appeal to Scandis too?

Still horribly tight in the midfoot alá Vulcan?

About the more downhill orientated boot from Atomic:
onenerdykid on newschoolers: 'When you see pics of the black one, that's it. It will look very similar but with a reinforced shell material, beefier liner, strap, and beefier swapable tongue.'

The more I look at that boot the more it starts to look like a pretty shameless knock-off of a Vulcan....or maybe Dynafit licensed it to Amer.

Except that every single part is different and that it lacks some of the main selling points of the Vulcan, sure, it's pretty close in concept. Competition is always welcome, just hoping their lasts are very different from dynafits.

Different. Only seen a very small picture. 2 buckle, fixed toe and heel, and rockered Vibram sole. Not 100% but looked to be WTR compatible.
