A "gun show" follows the same laws as the rest of the state, often plus a few.
If you're buying from a firearms dealer at a gun show (98%+ of transactions at a gun show are with dealers, because it's not worth it to rent a table unless you have a lot of stuff to sell) they are required to check all the same stuff they're required to check if you bought it at the store, both state and federal.
If you buy from a private party at a gun show (<2% of transactions) it's usually no different than buying it from the same guy through the classifieds. (State laws about private-party transactions vary dramatically.)
Result: there is no "gun show loophole". It's a myth cooked up by anti-gun zealots.
(No, those aren't exact figures, just my experience from the couple shows I've ever been to -- and the only thing I bought was a pocketknife. Anyone who's more into guns than I am feel free to correct me on this.)
Also note that you can't buy or sell guns on Craigslist, or Ebay, and that's always been the case AFAIK.

"He is god of snow; the one called Ullr. Son of Sif, step son of Thor. He is so fierce a bowman and ski-runner that none may contend! He is quite beautiful to look upon and has all the characteristics of a warrior. It is wise to invoke the name of Ullr in duels!"
