What season pass are you NOT buying this year? EARN YOUR TURNS
Who is committed to touring, and will break their addiction to lifts by not buying their mtn's cheap early pass?
I will most likely wimp out and opt for early turns to get into shape ( small ankle break is not helping me)….but I know I will join this thread one day.Terje was right.

Not buying a pass to Snowbird. Year 3 of skiing the USFS resort with manual lifts.

I would very much like to get some touring gear instead of a Snowbowl pass. Some good shopping, and you'd come out about even. Even if it costs a few hundred more, it still beats dealing with those people.
cue creaky tirade that shows why it beats dealing with those people and the irony completely lost on him...

Holding out on renewing my pass to Stevens again this year. Well, at least until mid-December when the padded seats still aren't turning, fresh lift-served turns are calling and I finally cave into renewing it at the korporate price.
The downside to being a corporate shill is having to jockey a desk on the weekdays. The upside is paying $10 for a pair of season passes to two of the best ski areas in North America... after reimbursement, that is.

Too late, next year's pass is already bought and the money long forgotten about. People who think skiing is expensive are nuts. Best thousand bucks I'll spend all year.

Dude, you probably spent a ton on weed, weed by products, and weed related hardware last year. Certainly more than the Colorado Super Pass. Priorities, son.

Hah! I worked for 35 years to have the money for a season pass and the time to use it. I earned my turns. You young whippersnappers can do all the backcountry skiing you want--JUST STAY OFF OF MY SNOW!

I bought a basin pass last season. First season pass in 6 years. Used it once and toured maybe 70+ days? Don't think I'll buy another one.

If it was like mountain biking and you could always go regardless of conditions I might actually do this some season, but since that's not the case I'm always going to have a pass. Being able to ski the resort on those days eliminates the odds of making a stupid decision.
