I called Gallopin, but they gave him a bigger leash than I expected.

My fantasy team is crushing it. I'm 37th over all. Many more days ahead though

All my shit has to come together soon .... I've got J. Rod. I've got Conta (instead of Froome). Got Degenkalb's but he's too busy watching after Kittel I guess. Had Boom but he's one and gone now.

So Contador has crashed and is requiring extensive medical attention. Paul is saying he's lost 4 minutes and they are saying maybe his frame failed? I wonder if Specialized will warranty that.

    Alberto gone....

Tour of attrittion...all over again. Rodriquez is stomping it today, but the ding dong battle with Tommy could go further than today...it's looking like the best fight in town!

Sagan has had some climbing points in previous tours, but the first few climbs today were a bit of a shock. Shows he is smart, getting intermediate points today and then hanging on to the MJ.

Okay, the fight over the MJ is pretty wild too. Nibali seeming like he has rockets attached to his pedals...whoosh!

btw: I am just getting this from the text and graphical display at TdF-live, no live viddy here at work. All of a sudden Nibbles was chomping holes in the stage lead and then, right on past.

EDIT: Just saw the NBCSp last kilo replay...sure looked rocket propelled!

    Anybody see it happen?
    he looked very strong

purito looked like he had it in the bag until about 3k or so (somewhere around there...not sure)
nibali's last helper fell off & he was left alone so he figured it was time to turn the screws on his rivals
valverde saw the move but couldn't hold his wheel at all
nibali pedaled thru kwiatkowski, who was already blown and headed backwards, and latched up with purito
purito sensed him coming up because the vehicles were moved out of the in-betwenn space
in a spot where the gradient eased off, he made his move and purito couldn't follow -- JR had put too much into getting off the front for the KOM pts and the stage win

btw, can someone explain uphill pacing?
how the fuck does that work at 10mph?
    is it psychological?

when i'm riding and i can't hold a wheel, i just can't hold a wheel. someone riding right in front of me aint going to help unless there's some speed/slipstream/suction involved (granted, i'm 6-5, 210 and a crappy rider)

No real draft effect , so teammates will set a pace that's just enough to keep your guy moving ahead. It's more psychological than anything

Kudos to Tony Martin for the massive pace after yesterday's effort, to JR for taking polka dots, and for Nibali for the stage win. The guy looked

With Contador out, Nibali's tactics change considerably.
I think he rides yellow all the way to the finish.

Yeah, assuming he can stay upright, and that's a big if in this race, it's his to win. Everyone else seems to be at a lower tier.

Frommy crashed and quit with a limp wrist before the cobbles.
In my book Contadope gets the win for best crash not scene by the cameras. Broken Frame. Broken Tibula.
Riding - Climbing 20 K with a broken Tibula. he is the Man of the tour. Lars Boom gets a nod also for his work on the Pave.
Speaking about another man of the tour. It is Nibili's tour now.

So does anyone have a complete fantasy team left anymore? I have to figure most went with either Froom-dog, Bertie, or the shark as their top rider. My velogames team is in shambles: Froom, Frank, and Modolo are out, Talansky might as well be, and Cherel and Huzarski have both crashed and did some weak break attempts. So basically I'm down to a healthy team of Bardet, Dumoulin, and Sagan....I guess I might have a chance in the NBC pool. I keep barely chipping away at XtrPickels lead.

Also I really hope Chris Horner gets a TV job once he decides to hang it up, he's what Bob Roll only wishes he could be. Vande Velde hasn't been too bad himself, but can be a little dry at times.
