AT Boot - Garmont G-rides
Whose got them and got opinions on them? Looks like a nice medium weight, stiff, AT boot. How does it hike?

I just got a good deal on a pair of new "used" G Rides and they are awesome! I thought they would be pretty soft and mushy, but they arent much softer than an alpine boot. They are super comfy, light weight and versatile. I thought my explosives would overpower them, but I gave it a try and still had excellent control over my skis. I think my Alpine boots got retired last weekend...I would definately recommend them!

Luv my red Denali's, how do they (G-ride) compare in weight (I'd try to use the internet to find the answer, but I don't know what that is). Looked at a pair of Lowas. I'm definitely interested in these.

11-23-2003, 06:48 PM #6I don't know yet. I've been looking into tix, but I might be kinda straped for cash this season. I'm going to JHole hopefully sometime next week, but finding a job there isnt going too well...so I'm kinda on standby until I get situated. I'm thinking maybe late March if I can save enough money.Originally posted by Idris

i have tried them a couple days and i didn't really like the feel of em. i didn't tour i just skied, i found that i overpowered it quite easily and because of that lightness and the lack of any material my toes froze. I bought lowa struktura evo instead, its a 3 clip, but with a quick modification of the power strap it was more then all right.
shut up and ski
