Amazon Prime is killing it
Recently checked into what's available on Amazon Prime instant view, and holy shit - they just got the vast majority of the HBO catalog, all free for Prime members. This is a gamechanger for me and sets them way ahead of Netflix. We're talking some high-quality viewing here:
Sopranos
Boardwalk Empire
Eastbound and Down
The Wire
Flight of the Conchords
The Killing
Treme
Six Feet Under
True Blood
Rome
Oz
and motherfucking DEADWOOD (best show ever, IMHO)
No Game of Thrones or True Detective, unfortunately, but still - we're talking a goldmine of content here, all "free" for the Prime subscriber. A treasure trove for the cable cutter for sure.Outlive the bastards - Ed Abbey

not really free, plus the interface to access and search videos on my ps3 sucks ass.

Free for Prime Members. Obviously it's not "free," but the fee is comparable to Netflix plus you get included two-day shipping. My point is that Prime Instant View used to suck compared to Netflix, but with this it's actually the better option IMHO.
The interface on my older Roku sucks too, but so does Netflix. I don't really care about the interface, I care about the content. (And it's possible the newer Rokus are better - I think they've stopped supporting upgrades to my three-year-old model.)Outlive the bastards - Ed Abbey

I may have to renew my subscription for this. Cheaper than adding HBO to my service.

They also just added 1M songs for streaming. We'd have Prime without all the Audio/video benefits since we save more money annually on shipping than it costs. This is simply a great bonus.

Do they have Entourage? Either way, I have a LOT of catching up to do. Amazon Prime streaming just got a whole lot better! Now if only they'd add Game of Thrones...
