stupid amounts of flow, berms up and down hills, hort technical section, lots of fun with out any 'suffering"

Mohican SP is more "epic" ride than Vulture's but Vultures has some really unique and cool bridges. Mohican is a 25 mile loop where Vulture's is short. like 7 miles.

Ive ridden stewart a lot--they call it the Buffer Zone, and Ive tried to get there for the Dark Horse 40 but havent made it yet. I have friends down there.

Mohican looks great, but my son is 10 and riding everything with me on the way home, so there is no 25 miler in the cards for us.

The Ozark Trail has some nice spots on the southern end. starting in Mark Twain National forrest, which is about 90 minutes south of stl, you have some great hill country all the way down to Arkansas. Fireroads, pine tree's etc. really different from the rest of the state. Check out rides in Mark Twain if you want to detour 2 hrs south from 70.

Just rode Brown County SP Indiana (Green Valley trail = awesome), now enjoying fresh Walleye and Campside IPA at Upland Brewpub in Bloomington.

Lots of trails in the Front Range. Are you going to be in Denver or elsewhere? And how far are you willing to drive?

Update for those who helped out:
I broke my ankle three days before I left home. Still unsure how it happened, but there was no dramatic fall or attempt to ride beyond my ability. As far as I can tell, at the bottom of my pedal stroke my toe got hooked on something on the side of the trail (root, stump?) and my ankle broke. I was alone, and eventually, after many calls to my wife, sherrif dept, etc, my friend found me and carried me out on his back.
I had surgery last week, and the whole trip got cancelled. Now I have four screws in my ankle, and 6-8 weeks on non-weight bearing crutching around the house. Major bummer.
