Rode 10 miles of the Monarch Crest before they reached the pass for the first time and joined the bike parade down to the ski area. Good party all afternoon.

Not sure if the 3-4 minute version is what you're looking for:

Fukt: a very small amount of snow.

Go Tejay! Cool stage, didn't get to watch but seems like these are pretty good mountain stages... and finally with a good climb to the finish.

Yeah, can they just let Christian take over? He's doing an excellent job.

This coverage is embarrassing. The extra shitty part is there is no way for someone with out TV to watch any of the replay tonight. Very disappointing. The same fucking thing happened last year.

How can they not get a signal for most of the ride? The TDF had bad weather most of the month and yet there was no bullshit outages like this.

You should be able to watch the replay tomorrow (if you care to) on the tour tracker. They have the missing half hour on Kebler Pass from Tuesday on the replay.

They have to fly a fixed wing plane to beam the signal from the Heli to a satellite (is what I heard). That plane can't seem to fly at the altitude needed when there are thunderstorms (apparently).

Does anyone know whether you can park on the shoulders of Bighorn Rd in East Vail tomorrow? The road is closing at 11:30 but wasn't sure if you could park before that and bike up to the finish line.

No parking will be allowed on the race course route. In my opinion the best way is to park at Vail pass and ride your bike down to the finish line.

Man, this coverage is a joke. Why any town would spend money to bid to begin a stage is beyond me.

How can they not get decent video coverage from Boulder either?

I hope this breakaway can stay out front. Would love for Jens to get the win after that stage 4 heart breaker.

Would be great to see Jens win the stage, but even if he can't hang on it is still his day.

Assuming the TV rights are a big part of the $$$ needed to support this event, I don't see it continuing for long if the coverage is going to be this bad. Nobody's fault, the weather and the technology are what they are but it would be a shame to see it go away because of technical limitations. I can't imagine the ratings are all that strong to begin with given that it is a "fringe" sport but I'm a hard core bike racing fan and had to turn it off because I could only take so much of Phil/Paul discussing the weather/how great Jens Voigt is. Hopefully others were more patient.

One more thing...maybe if TeeJay had his ears pinned back he'd be more aero and more successful in the big league races. Those suckers are like parachutes sticking out of the sides of his head.

Phil and Paul absolutely need to go. They are killing any semblance of interest that the general public might have in watching this sport.
