    Jong Tube Question

Try not to laugh me out of the room on this one fellas. I picked up an old Raleigh commuter on Craigslist to replace my old commuter that was stolen last summer. The bike came with 27 x 1/4 wheels, one of which has a Presta valve and the other has a Schrader. I'm already replacing the tires with some new Continental Supersports but wanted to know what the implications are of running two Presta valves instead of one of each.

Should I just sack up and do it and stop nerding out over this?

Both the same wheel? Could be that one wheel only accepts schrader valves.

Going from Schrader to Presta = no problem. Going from Presta to Schrader = might have to drill out the rim.

Thanks guys. I want to go from Scrader to Presta on one of the rims to avoid having two types of valves since the other rim already has a Presta valve.

Just be sure and either get the grommet adapter thingy or put a presta nut both inside and outside the rim to prevent the tube eventually blowing through.
I rip the groomed on tele gear

I've never heard of putting a nut on the inside as well as the out side.

Yeah, pretty sure it doesn't matter for commuting.
    No longer stuck.
